Right in the heart of Downtown Phoenix, Séamus McCaffrey’s Irish Pub has been pouring pints, serving comfort food, and welcoming the city for more than three decades. As Phoenix’s original Irish pub and restaurant, we are the kind of place you find once and keep coming back to. Step inside for the warmth of a true neighborhood pub, with the energy of downtown right outside the door.
Since 1991, Séamus has been part of the daily rhythm of downtown. On any day you might share the bar with people who work nearby, students from Arizona’s universities, theater and sports fans heading to the next show, and the folks who keep the service industry humming. It is an easy place to strike up a conversation, settle into a booth, or post up for the game. If you are looking for a genuine Irish pub in Phoenix, this is it.
Our kitchen leans into classic Irish fare and hearty pub favorites. Come by for lunch, dinner, or late night bites. You will find staples like boxty, shepherd’s pie, and fish and chips, alongside sandwiches, burgers, and shareable starters built for the table. Whether you are grabbing a quick bite before an event or making a full evening of it, there is something here that hits the spot.
Séamus is known for a deep whiskey lineup, with standout Irish whiskies and single malt Scotches, plus a strong bench of bourbons. If you like to explore, our bar is a playground. If you just want a perfectly poured Guinness or your favorite draught, we have you covered. Pull up a stool and let the bartender guide you.
Weekends at Séamus often come with live music, the kind that makes the night last a little longer. Keep an eye on our events calendar for bands, special gatherings, and seasonal celebrations. And every year on March 17, we throw our signature St. Patrick’s Day street party, taking over Monroe for a full-blown downtown tradition.
Drop in after work, before the game, or just because you feel like a pint and good company. Séamus McCaffrey’s is equal parts Irish pub, Downtown Phoenix hangout, and longtime local favorite.

Also chicken tenders may be the best we’ve had. Mike is the best.Posted on Danyele JeanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Stopped in after all day flying & flight delays, nearby our airbnb. Got lucky enough to stumble on Mike, the bartender. Mike is probably the coolest person I’ve ever met. He is not only fast and attentive for servicing, but extremely down to Earth and such a cool person all around. For Mike alone, my bf and I will come back and recommend to others traveling this way!Posted on Grandy MatTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. One word Mihai-such a nice guy! My husband and I visited two weeks on our 5 year anniversary trips and had an amazing time! I sent a friend here this weekend who was visiting Pheonix and he agreed with me on my analysis- great bartending, attentive, kind, and funny. A great atmosphere and a hilarious experience. I didn’t experience the food but for a good drink and conversation, I’ll be back. Mihai wasn’t my only good experience with servers/bartenders, but unfortunately I cannot remember the names of the other :( VISIT THEM for the SCOTCH and some whiskey, atmosphere certainly; the options can’t be beat.
